Adventure Edge Radio is back and we’ve got a great podcast for you today. Jimmy’s talking to author, environmentalist and National Geographic explorer Jon Bowermaster about his latest book AND Ironman triathlete Dave Scott, known simply as “The Man” in triathlon circles.
Bowermaster’s book, Wildebeest in a Rainstorm: Profiles of Our Most Intriguing Adventurers, Conservationists, Shagbags and Wanderers, features the amazing adventurers he’s written about in the past 20 years, including Sir Richard Branson, Bobby Kennedy Jr., David Brower, Peter Beard, Warren Miller and Jake Burton Carpenter.
The legendary Dave Scott is a six-time Ironman World Champion. Scott was the first inductee into the Triathlon Hall of Fame and his battles with Mark Allen during the Hawaii Ironman, particularly in 1989, are epic. Hear him talk about that as well as the possibility of racing in Hawaii again this year.
