Team Sierra Runs the Horsetooth Half Marathon

It was a gorgeous day—not too warm, not too cold, scattered clouds—and would have made for a perfect, easy-going, patio party Sunday. But three of us from Sierra woke up and decided it was a good day to try out our new running shoes… over 13.1 miles and heck of a lot of hills.
The Horsetooth Half Marathon is a gorgeous run around a sparkling reservoir lined with red rock cliffs and towering mountain views. It’s so pretty that you hardly notice the 1000’ elevation gain (and by “hardly” I mean “really”). And even though I had sore legs for days afterwards, it was well worth it. There was a great band at the after-party, too. Maybe that’s what was worth it. No, no, it was the fact that we pushed ourselves to the limits and accomplished a goal… you know, the whole “I think I can, I think I can… wow, I really can” thing.
Run any races this spring? Send us some photo proof and tell us which one. We’ll pick a few based on who looks the most psyched to be done running. If you were the most exhilarated, we’ll post your photo and send you a gift certificate. I don’t care how fast you run a mile, you can’t beat that.

Why are you posting stuff that happened months ago? Old news is dead.

Thanks for your comment.
You’re right–this happened back in April. We didn’t really consider it “news”. We’re just trying to show people what we’ve been up to and encourage people to share stories and submit photos of events they’re involved in.
I appreciate your feedback and look forward to hearing from you again soon.
