If you’re an unconventional traveler and would rather rent a bedroom, a couch or a backyard in lieu of a hotel while away, this post is for you.
Two really cool websites, AirBnB and SingleSpotCamping, connect both couch and backyard surfers to cheap places to stay and backyard campsites around the globe.
For varied prices, couch surfers can find private rooms, cottages and even whole apartments or homes to rent at extremely affordable prices. There’s a rooftop in Brooklyn, for example, a spare bedroom in Oahu, a bungalow on Venice Beach and lots of other great, affordable places offered on the AirBnB website.
The second site, SingleSpotCamping, hooks backyard surfers up with cool camping spots in many different countries from a rooftop in Brooklyn to horse farm in Sweden and a backyard in Belgium.
So the next time you’re planning a camping trip or a looking for a place to stay, check out these two sites for affordable and unique options you probably won’t find anywhere else.
