Whitewater Rafting Party

What’s better than a whitewater rafting party on your 60th birthday?
Nothing! At least that’s what Mary & Clark Taylor think. This adventurous duo were up to their life jackets in fun as they celebrated Mary’s milestone with a splash. Clark shares their story with The Blogging Post:

“As a milestone Birthday approached for my wife, we spent many nights planning a great party. We considered a barbeque, a Mexican dinner at our house or a picnic at Capitol Reef National Park. None seemed appropriate for a 60th Birthday party, and my wife did not want to cook. So, my wife said, leave it to me, I’m going to plan a spectacular party. She checked around and did some research and found that the Sevier River , near Marysville Utah, offered rafting trips for a really great price, if she could get over 20 of her friends to join us.
She made up the invitations, sent out 22 and all responded positively, after all, it was my treat! Most had never been on a rafting trip before.
Two of my grandchildren, ages 12 and 14, who spend 6 weeks of the summer with us, and 19 of her older friends ran the river on July 18th, 2007, then we all had lunch at the Big Rock Candy Factory, in Marysville.
It was a splashing success, all wanted to know if I would do the same party for the 61st Birthday….
I said, well, I am only 29, with 31 years experience, so it will be a long wait! I am very happy that all enjoyed.”
