Adventure Edge Radio: Episode 11 with Wendy Booker

Wendy-Booker_1.jpgIn this episode of Adventure Edge Radio, Jimmy’s got results from the Ironman World Championship and an update on what Steve Fossett was planning next at the time of his disappearance.

We’re also talking about war veterans whitewater rafting and kayaking as rehabilitation and two notable news stories from the skies over Mount Everest.

Our feature interview this week is with Wendy Booker, a 54 year old woman from Boston who, ten years after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, is on the verge of completing the Seven Summits – the highest mountain peaks on each continent. She’s also run nine marathons since her diagnosis. Talk about inspirational.

This episode’s Gear Highlight is on backpacks, and the Last Word is about the joys of canine company on the trails. Listen in and enjoy…
