Rockslide in Yosemite Injures 3 People

Curry_Village_Rockslide_Yosemite.jpgA massive granite rock slide in Yosemite National Park has injured three people and completely destroyed at least five cabins in a camping and retail area known as Curry Village. 1,005 people have been evacuated.

Considering the devastation and the time of day (the slide occurred at 7am), it’s incredible more people weren’t hurt. Park officials estimated the volume of cascading rock to be at about 180 - 200 truck loads.

Exercise Your Way to Health in Two Hours a Week

Running_2_Hours_a_week.jpgAfter determining that exercise cuts the risk of heart attacks and stroke by at least 20 percent, reduces the chance of early death, helps people avoid high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, colon and breast cancer, fractures from age-weakened bones AND depression, the National Health and Human Services Department has set official exercise guidelines.

The new exercise guidelines state, quite simply, that adults need to get at least 2 hours of exercise a week to maintain good health.
