Woman Loses 160 Pounds on Raw Diet

Angela_Stokes_Grocery.jpgAmerica is a culture consumed with processed foods - that’s no secret. But one (literally) fed-up woman decided to head in another direction and she lost 160 pounds because of it.

After reading a book about the health benefits of eating an all-raw diet, Angela Stokes went “cold cucumber” as she calls it and stopped eating cooked and processed foods. Stokes had become depressed and downtrodden as a result of her 300 pound weight and was determined to change it.

Skydivers Set to Jump Over Everest

Skydivers_oxygen_masks.jpegThe summit of Everest is set to play host to a whole new set of adventurers - skydivers.

At least 34 daring skydivers from 14 countries -including the U.S., Britain, Canada, Denmark, and New Zealand will be jumping out of a plane and soaring past the most famous mountain in the world.

The skydivers will need to wear oxygen masks and carry heavy parachutes because of the extremely thin air in the world’s tallest drop zone. They’ll also be subject to extreme cold on the way down.

Jet Man Flies Over English Channel Solo: Video

Jet_Man_Wing_Parachute.jpgSwiss daredevil Yves Rossy completed a 15-minute, 22-mile solo flight across the English Channel this morning. But what’s incredible about Rossy’s flight is that it wasn’t in a jet, but on a jet wing.

Rossy, also known as “Fusion Man,” strapped himself to a homemade jet-propelled wing and jumped out of an airplane at 8,800 feet before firing up the four jets he was attached to and taking off at speeds of up to 185 mph. Flying from Calais, France across the English Channel, Rossy followed the flight path of Louis Berliot, the first man to fly solo in an airplane across the Channel 99 years ago.
