Tri Time: Video

Triathletes are a restless breed. They aren’t content to simply swim, ride, or run. They want to do all three… in one race.

Sound exhausting? It is. But that’s why we love it.

Although it helps, you don’t have to be an Iron Man to compete in a triathlon. Basic triathlons, or sprint triathlons, are great ways to cross train and stay in tip-top shape. And you won’t beat yourself up too badly, either. Unless, of course, you’re this guy…

Maybe you’re a runner, a cyclist, or a swimmer already or maybe you’d just like to be. Why not try all three and challenge yourself at a whole new level? We wrote the triathlon guide to get you started.

We have two resident triathletes here at Sierra. Sharkey and Amber (pictured below) are formidable competitors on the tri circuit. Look out! amber_transition.JPG

Great video on the entry! Too funny.

I am days away from my first triathlon (sprint distance) and so excited! In fact, I got my tri suit from STP several months ago, when I embarked on this new adventure. It’s been great for training and I’m ready for the big day! Swimming, cycling and running have long been enjoyable to me but I’ve never had the guts to put it all together til now!

I think I’ve discovered an awesome new sport to enjoy at the ripe old age of 49!
