Adventure Edge Radio with Jimmy Buff: Episode 4
On this week’s episode of Adventure Edge Radio with Jimmy Buff, we’ve got news about the deadly accident on K2 that took 11 lives, the Leadville 100 Mountain bike race starring Lance Armstrong, and a 1700 mile solo kayak trip from Chicago to New York City.
Our feature interview is with Charlie Engle – former drug addict turned endurance athlete extraordinaire – and the first man, along with two companions, to run 4500 miles across the Sahara Desert. Engle ran an average of 42 miles a day for 111 days straight… under the blazing hot sun of the Sahara Desert. Engle is also a devoted philanthropist and has most recently started a charity to help create long term sustainable water options for the people of Africa.
This week’s gear highlight will feature bicycle helmets and the Last Word explores the notion that just “because it is there” may not be reason enough to take on an adventure.
Listen in and enjoy…
