Hiker Killed By Bear Hunter - Hiker Safety Tips

HunterSafetyOrange.jpgA hiker was accidentally shot and killed by a bear hunter on Sauk Mountain in Washington State over the weekend. The hunter, who apparently mistook hiker Pamela Almli (not pictured) for a bear, is only 14 years old.

Behind the Scenes of “Hugging Lion” Reunion: Video

He was also worth billions of dollars - surely enough to expedite his escape from the country and set him up nicely somewhere off the radar. But did he actually fake his own death? No one knows for sure, but some people think it’s possible - probable even. His plane hasn’t been found, his body hasn’t been found… nothing has been found.

U.S. Leads World in Generation of Wind Power

Turbines_Wind_power.jpgThis is good news for alternative energy - the U.S. is now the leading generator of wind power in the world. This distinction came early as predictions were that we wouldn’t lead the world in wind power until 2009.

According to the Green Blog, wind power production is growing faster here than anywhere abroad. There is tremendous potential for energy if we can harness and distribute the wind energy that flows freely across the plains (and deserts and mountains and coastal areas).
