Playoff underdogs? Definitely.
World Series long shots? Absolutely.
National League Champs? You better believe it.
In a story as far-fetched as it is thrilling, the Colorado Rockies have made it to their first ever World Series. Coming off a so-so season with little hope of seeing a trophy of any sort, the Rockies have stunned everyone.
That’s what happens when you step up to the plate and refuse to take no for an answer.
There’s nothing like a Cinderella story to get fans cheering and remind us why we watch in the first place. After all, isn’t that what baseball (and every sport, really) is about? The impossible becoming possible… the glass slipper fitting just right, at just the right moment… overcoming obstacles when seemingly no one believes but you…
If there’s one thing we could use more of in today’s world, it’s stories like this one. Stories about average teams or people becoming phenomenal due to passion, heart, and confidence. We could all learn something from this Rockies team.

Here’s to a win for the team who wanted it more… and came from way behind to get it.
Go Rockies.
