Climbing Kilimanjaro in a Wheelchair
The next time you think you can’t do something, just stop and think about Bern Goosen. He’s a quadriplegic and he just climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in a wheelchair… for the second time. Only this time he set a world record by reaching the summit in 6 days, 3 hours, and 20 minutes. That’s quicker than the time in which most able bodied people can do it.
And what’s more, his climbing buddy, Neil Stephenson, lost his leg to a shark last year. He also made it to the summit. Talk about not letting life get you down.
These two extraordinary climbers are on my list of heroes to be sure…
