Crazy Cliff Walk - El Camino del Rey: Video

BestHike.com posted this video today of a seemingly fearless guy walking El Camino del Rey (The King’s Pathway) in Spain. Now an approach to Makinodromo, the famous climbing sector of El Chorro, the trail has definitely seen better days (like when it was built way back in 1901). It clings to the side of a cliff, hundreds of feet above a river, and according to Wikipedia, many people have died hiking it. Why? Because it’s crumbling in spots, has no handrails, and is generally falling apart.

But you’ve gotta see this video (unless you’re scared of heights)…

    How do i find the history, who built it, i think it was around 1901. It is beautiful.I have lived 88 years have traveled thru Europe. Thanks R S.
