An “index of the best hikes, treks, and camps around the world”, BestHike.com is listing the Ten Best Hiking Regions in the World this week. So far, they’ve named half of the ten… and I’d like to plan a trip to each and every one.
… #5 Central Andes — “Hiking holidays in Peru are hot right now.”
#6 Patagonian Andes — “Towering granite peaks, untouched lakes, massive glaciers, huge volcano trekking peaks. This land is phenomenal.”
#7 Nepal — “A trip to The Kingdom of Nepal may well be the best hiking holiday of your life.”
#8 Australia — “What an exotic treat to have kangaroos and wallabies hanging about your campsite!”
#9 The Alps — “With advanced planning you can get to some of the best wild scenery in the world and not go bankrupt in Europe.”
#10 Indian Himalaya — “India is vibrant, chaotically mad. But you can easily escape to the tranquil high mountains and have them to yourself.”
Check back at Besthike.com for the rest of the list. These guys know what they’re talking about.

My favorite place is Yosemite National Park, I first went there when I was 5 years old, some 65 years ago. (you do the math) There is no place like it in the world and believe me after some 24 years in the service and traveling all over the world it has no competition.
Best Wishes
