The Seven Summits – Views from the Top
Only a select group of adventurers can boast about climbing the highest peak on each continent, the Seven Summits.
12 year-old Jordan Romero is attempting to do it, as is Wendy Booker, a 54 year-old woman with MS. Ultrarunner Marshall Ullrich has also climbed the Seven Summits, along with other ambitious mountaineers from around the world.
The Seven Summits, which include the notorious Everest in Asia, Aconcagua in South America, Mt. McKinley in North America, Kilimanjaro in Africa, Elbrus in Europe, Vinson Massif in Antarctica, and Carstensz Pyramid in Australia-New Guinea are extremely challenging and sometimes even deadly climbs.
Thanks to the beautiful images in this article, you don’t have to climb the Seven Summits to get a feel for what it looks like up there. My new favorite website, Environmental Graffiti, has gathered the most breathtaking photos from acclaimed mountaineers and photographers all into one place. Check it out for glimpses of, and information about, some of Earth’s most heavenly spots.

You’re absolutely right. She has done 6 of the 7 – thanks for correcting me! I’m going to change that in the post right now.
