Vending Machine for Bike Parts and Repair

Forget vending machines that sell candy bars and potato chips – the next big thing in vending machines is bike parts!
Trek Stop, from the innovators at Trek, offers cyclists convenient access to bike gear in a vending machine. With the dramatic increase in bike commuters across the country, a bike part vending machine makes sense to me. Apparently it does to the people at Trek, too. Now they’re going to see if cyclists think it’s a good idea.
Currently, Madison, Wisconsin is the only city in the country to feature the bike vending machine. It’s a temporary “test model,” but if it proves to be useful, Trek Stop stands could start cropping up in other bike-friendly towns in the U.S. (Madison is renowned for its bike trails and bike-friendly streets so it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that Trek is testing the concept out there.)
What do you make of this idea? Do you think your city could use a Trek Stop bike stand?
