Fall Back: Daylight Savings Ends

Hopefully you remembered to turn your clock back this morning (unless you live in Arizona or Hawaii, of course). 2:00 a.m. marked the end of Daylight Savings Time… and the start of earlier evenings.
Daylight Savings Time was originally used as a way to conserve coal during World War I. But how much energy are we saving today? That’s a tough one — some say one percent, others say none at all.
Many people believe DST was established to help farmers, but the farming community generally opposes Daylight Savings Time. There are other people who do, too. One study suggests that when DST ends, pedestrians are three times more likely to be hit by cars than they were during DST. Other people dislike the disruption in their sleep schedule and just don’t see the point. Still other people enjoy the extra summer daylight.
What do you think of Daylight Savings Time? Love it? Hate it?
