If you’re a runner (or take part in other high-impact exercises), chances are you’ve had someone tell you you’re going to “ruin your knees” or break down your joints faster because of your fitness habits.
Somewhere along the line running became associated with a breaking down of the body – but according to sports medicine specialists, the opposite is true.

Today is Veteran’s Day and a perfect time to honor those who have fought for our freedom and sacrificed their normal lives so that we may lead ours.
It’s also a good time to think about how best to help those veterans who have had difficulties adjusting to life after combat.

Maser and his fellow kayakers were on the Congo River conducting scientific research (measuring the depth, speed and turbulence of the river, which scientist Ned Gardiner suspects might be the deepest in the world) but ended up having what looks like a lot of fun. I’m assuming the video was taken on a helmet cam – and a pretty good one at that. Watching it makes you feel like you’re actually paddling the boat, albeit much drier. Check it out…
