Good news for tea lovers. Your favorite beverage may be healthier than water.
An article in the BBC is claiming that tea is not the dehydrating beverage it was once thought to be. Tea actually rehydrates as well as water while providing extra health benefits you can’t get by drinking water alone. Tea replenishes lost fluids, gives your body an antioxidant boost and thanks to powerful flavonoids, tea may also prevent heart disease and certain cancers.

A Dream Come True
We’re back in the U.S.A. After a year of traveling to far corners of the globe, Erin and I have returned to our home country. And what a nice place it is! I had an unbelievable time seeing and experiencing the world, but I am also so thankful to call the U.S. home, and my love for my own country is stronger than ever. I am so grateful to see my family and friends and reconnect with our lives here at home.
This past year has been a dream come true. Traveling to all the wonderful places we visited has been a long-time dream of mine and to have completed such a trip, and to have accumulated such a wealth of amazing and mind-blowing experiences that will stay with with me for the rest of my life, is incredible.

The snowmobile saga continues in Yellowstone National Park.
The National Park Service wants to increase the number of snowmobiles (from 290 to 540) that are allowed daily in Yellowstone National Park. But a judge tossed the proposal out, saying the increase would add to air and noise pollution and disturb wildlife in the country’s first national park. The judge said that the National Park Service improperly “elevates use over conservation.”

Hurricane Ike caused major devastation in Texas and along the Gulf Coast when it made landfall on Galveston Island Saturday morning with 110 mph winds and wall after wall of water.
While the 15 foot storm surge wasn’t quite as high as had been predicted, the storm hit Galveston Island incredibly hard and killed at least 32 people in 8 states with its subsequent flooding.
Fortunately, most of the residents of Galveston Island were evacuated ahead of the storm. But some remained and the search was on all weekend to rescue survivors. 2,000 people have been rescued from their flooded homes as of this morning.
